Ruler

With BarnumPT's Ruler tool, you can effortlessly determine the exact width, height, and X and Y coordinates of any section on your webpage. This tool is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to enhance their design process with precise measurements.

Step 1: Open the BarnumPT Extension

To get started, locate the BarnumPT extension in your Chrome or Edge browser. Click the Hat icon in your browser toolbar to open the BarnumPT popup. This will give you access to various tools, including the Ruler.

Step 2: Select the Ruler Tool

Once the BarnumPT popup is open, choose the Ruler option.

Step 3: Draw the Ruler on the Page

Click and drag your mouse to draw the ruler over the section of the webpage you wish to measure. This action will create a visual representation of the area, which you can adjust as needed.

Step 4: Move or Resize the Ruler

After placing the ruler, you can reposition it by clicking and dragging it to a new location on the page. To change its dimensions, adjust the sides of the ruler to modify its width and height according to your requirements.

Step 5: View Measurements

As you adjust the ruler, the Width, Height, and X + Y coordinates will be displayed in the top-right corner of your screen. These precise measurements help you ensure that every element is perfectly aligned and sized to your specifications.

Step 6: Close the Ruler

Once you have completed your measurements, you can easily close the ruler by pressing the Escape key. This will return your page to its normal state, allowing you to continue with your work.
